The events in Aurora, Colorado last night were truly tragic. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.
Naturally, this morning’s Twitter feed was full of expressions of sympathy and confusion as people woke to the news of the tragedy. In the midst of all that was this tweet from Jenny Simmons of Addison Road:
“Don’t stop living just because of the evil that exists in this world. Don’t let evil win. #PrayingForPeopleinAurora”
My sentiments exactly! Please don’t stop living your life because of last night’s events. Don’t stop going to movies, window shopping, playing outside with your children or living your life to the fullest because of the actions of one mentally ill man. Every second you stop living your life perpetuates the evil that occurred last night.
“Haven’t I commanded you: be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 HCSB
P.S. Jenny Simmons’ blog, “Cupcakes, Sprinkles and Other Happy Things” at http://www.JennySimmons.com, is always a great read. She is an amazing storyteller.
